The Noble Gentleman is a small bar-style venue that will essentially be the CBD’s cellar door. Having reached out to South Australian wineries without a cellar door, the aim is to give them a space to be able to connect with customers in a CBD location. Any gaps in their schedule will be filled with wines from France, Italy and Spain.
As well as the rotation of local wines, their menu will be built around outstanding locally sourced produce. The cheese is sourced from Barossa Cheese and Section28 Artisan Cheeses, with Barossa Fine Foods being responsible for the smallgoods. The menu is comprised of share platters, and tapas style small dishes, as well as larger options from the paddock and the sea.
Non-wine drinkers have also been considered, with three brews from next door’s Lady Burra Brewhouse pouring on tap, plus a comprehensive list of expertly crafted cocktails. Live music is another string to their bow, with plans to have acoustic performers located near the entrance.
The Noble Gentleman also features a number of key recycled pieces, including a feature wall of eclectic op-shop items. At the heart of the bar is an antipasto display fridge, which was recycled from an old meat shop and repurposed to store the meats which can be found on the platters.
With the bustling Lady Burra as their brewery sibling next door, a coffee shop, dessert bar and rooftop venue to come, Topham Mall is set to become a new hub within the city precinct.
The Noble Gentleman is open Monday to Friday 11:30am – late; Saturday 5pm till late.
